Ardarroch, Highland, Scotland
Bothan Dubh is a purpose-built cabin in the village of Kishorn on Scotland's North Coast 500 route, with views across to the Bealach Na Ba and the Cuillins on Skye. Inverness is just over an hour away, Skye about 40 minutes, and Applecross, Plockton, and Eilean Donan Castle are all within easy reach. The cabin is 40 square metres with floor to ceiling windows designed to pull the landscape inside.
The interior is modern and well specified: a full kitchen with an oven, hob, fridge, and coffee machine, a king size bed, and a large shower. Outside, a deck area faces the mountains. At 248 reviews and 4.97, it has established itself as one of the more reliable small stays along the NC500. Single night stays are available from October to March.
The view of the Cuillins from Kishorn is one of the better panoramas on the NC500, and this cabin is built specifically to frame it. Good design doing what good design should.
Reviewers praise Gemma's place as wonderfully clean, comfortable, and peaceful with all needed amenities. The scenic view and friendly interaction with Gemma herself were highly appreciated bonuses.
