The 553 shares its 5m by 3m footprint and 15 square metres with the 453, but belongs to the 500 series, which uses a different door and window configuration. The pitched roof with hexagonal shingles carries over from the 400 series, keeping the traditional cabin silhouette. Two fixed portrait style windows flank a central double door, giving a slightly different proportion to the front elevation.
As with all Lillevilla cabins, the 553 arrives as a flat pack kit with 44mm log walls, double glazing, and 21mm floorboards. The difference between this and the 453 at the same price comes down to the window style and personal preference. The fixed portrait windows on the 553 let in slightly more light per panel and suit a cabin that will be used primarily as a workspace, where consistent natural light matters more than ventilation from opening side windows.
The portrait style fixed windows give a clean, unfussy elevation. For a workspace cabin, that uninterrupted glazing is a meaningful upgrade over smaller opening windows.
